Part   2

Tomoe went into a room to find Kenshin sleeping. She thought he looked like an innocent boy sleeping soundly. She unwraps her shawl and wanted to cover him up. Kenshin eyes flew open and charges his sword towards her. He has his sword near her throat, his face all scrunched up while Tomoe has a look of pure shock.

Kenshin pushed her away and apologized immediately. He was cursing himself for wanting to kill an innocent person. Tomoe placed her shawl on his lap. She wishes to stay for a while with Kenshin. Kenshin clutches the shawl. He then told her about his answer to her previous question. He wouldn't kill her even if she did have a sword. Whatever happens he would never kill her. Never.

June 5 , 1864. Kenshin receives the news that the Shisengumi attacked the secret meeting place. The Ikedaya incident. July 18, 1864. Kenshin and the patriots lost the battle. Many died and fire destroyed the city.

Kenshin and Tomoe were standing on a bridge. Katsura was below them, disguised. Kenshin and Katsura exchange words. It looks like they were now being pursued as the enemy. Katsura is going to be in hiding. He suggests that Kenshin do the same. There's a house in a village not far from the city. Kenshin is to hide there and will be receiving information from Katsura from Iizuka.

Katsura asks Tomoe to live with Kenshin as she too had nowhere to go. A married couple would look less suspicious than a man living alone. Katsura asks Tomoe to look after Kenshin. Then he walks off.

Rather then Tomoe living by herself, Kenshin proposed that they should live together. He doesn't know for how long. I guess indirectly asking her to be his wife.

1864, Kenshin = 15 years old , Tomoe = 18 years old
